Born into the famous family of the Rosenbergs Sinti-Family, Jimmy is the son of Engelina (Papi) Weisz and Franco (Macky) Rosenberg, and thus a cousin of Nonnie, Nous'che and Stochelo Rosenberg, the members of the famous "Rosenberg Trio".
In his early childhood he used to play the violin, before he changed over to guitar at the age of 7 (see photo right below). In 1989 he apperared in John Jeremys documentary about Django's Legacy with the Trio "Gypsy Kids".

Until today Jimmy Rosenberg has had a pretty tragic career, becoming something like the "black sheep" in his family.
In contact with drugs at early age, he had to spent times in jail in between cause of drugabuse. Regrettably that wasnt really helpful for his young career at all.

Nevertheless he was and still is a great talent of this musicscene that plays with great strength and virtuosity as well as sensitivity.
Jimmy Rosenberg has become known by his collaboration with the "Hot Club de Norway" and Andreas Oeberg making wonderful recordings with them.
But he also worked and played a lot with other famous names in the Jazzscene amongst them Romane, Stochelo Rosenberg, Tschavolo Schmitt, Bireli Lagrene, Stéphane Grappelli, James Brown, Les Paul, Biréli Lagrène, Willy Nelson, Angelo Debarre, Philip Catherine, Eric Clapton amm.
We hope that Jimmy is able to get back on track and recovering healthwise as well as musical, beeing back on the scene to take back the success of his career that he deserves...
