As the oldest of four brothers (Sarrane, Matelot, Maurice and Baro), he already showed his great talent as musician at young age.
After he started toplay at local "Bals de Musettes" in subburbs and villages, he soon migrated to Paris. After short time he got engaged and invited to many concerts playing the "Bals de Musettes" in Paris as a accompaning guitarrist.

Besides Joseph Reinhardt, Marcel Bianchi and Roger Chaput he bacme one of the regular and most important Rhythm-Guitarrists of the "Quintette du Hot Club de France".

Although Baro was a respected Jazzguitarrist, his biggest passion he developed for the Valse Musettes (Waltzes), of which he became also famous for as a composer.
His early compsitions like "Swing-Valse" (co-written by Gus Viseur) is one of the nicest and most sophisticated compositions of the genre. His later works like "L’inattendu" and "Le Depart de Zorro" (image right) are more modern inspired compositions.
Baro had a great play technique as Guitarrist and as well was a great improviser. #
In the afterwar times he stopped playing and was running a bar called "La Lanterne" in the 1960ies.
Baro just recorded one Solo-LP with the title "Swing Valses d’Hiere et Au’jourd’ui", a great source of fun and virtuosity. He died in 1978 at the age of 70 years in Paris.
