It´s not the guitar that brought the young Elios Ferré to play music but much more the piano, which he learnes first. And the more it´s not Jazz that inspires him to play the guitar but much more the Flamenco.Besides that he discovers the music of Jimi Hendrix, of which he tries to copy its sound.
While his brother Boulou is much more interested in classical music and Jazz, Elios is worhsipping the charmes of Flamenco-/ and Rockmusic.
In 1979 the first album of the two very different brothers « Pour Django » is released, which becomes beeing recognized in the same respectable tradition of their family. Today Elios is pushing the limits of the Evolotion of american Jazz in the Tradition of his great anchestores. Dizzy, Coltrane, Miles, Shorter… but also the heritage of Django lives on in his heart.
