This guitar has been inspired by the so called "Busato"-Guitars (more Infos on Busato-Guitars here) which have been built in the 1930-1950ies and which meanwhile are sold as absolute rarities for prices between 7.000.- and 15.000.-€. Alike the rare Selmer-Guitars the Busatos are considered as the best Gypsyjazzguitars worldwide.
This Demo-Instrument (Prototype) on sale here, is handuilt by luthier Edward Polak of Polak-Gypsyguitars (former ERG-Guitars).
It is made from wonderfully grained Tigermaple (sides and back, see photos). The top is made from solid spruce.
This unique Polak-Guitar has a wonderful half-glossy finish (french Finish) applied by hand, high quality MILLER-Hardware for absolute precision, as well as the Tailpiece made from pure brass and is also equipped with a Trussrod to adjust the neck.
The fretboard and the bridge is made from ebony, the three-piece neck also maple with a stripe of ebony in the middle (alike original Busato-guitars).
This guitar sounds fantastic, has a loud prowerful tone with balanced mids and crisp highs. The neck has a top stringset (2-3mm at 1st fret, 3,5-4mm at 12th fret), playable super easy.
